THIS MACHINE is a gallery exhibition of interactive art that was presented as part of Charles Street Video's Maker Space program. The exhibition aimed to explore how the use of interactive technologies can be used to 'humanize' a machine ie. giving it human qualities such as a personality. Participants could freely interactive with any of the pieces and develop their own relationship with the machine through their unique actions and the machine's responses. THIS MACHINE had 3 activations over the course of February 2024 and evolved each time based on observations I made from the previous activation on how people engaged with the space.

The exhibition involved projections, sound, and lighting that all reacted to movement, gestures, and velocity (the rapidity in which a participant engaged with a motion sensor).
